[ Only a year ago, it would have been unthinkable to see Yuri in such a state. Even though they've been rooming together for a long time, Yuri's always effortlessly maintained an air of being untouchable. To a degree, he has that in common with every member of the Ashen Wolves. Constance's superiority, Hapi's apathy and even Balthus' airheaded nature... all of them are flaunting to the world only what they want it to see, leaving deeper struggles untouched. They wouldn't be in Abyss if they hadn't lived lives where this sort of attitude became necessary.

Yuri though... he's always been better at it than the rest of them. Yuri's facade never falters. They had to learn this the hard way during the Rite of Rising incident and though Balthus has felt they've become closer since then, genuine comrades, he's still hardly ever seen Yuri at anything but his best.

Now he's looking at his boss' messy make-up and exhausted demeanor and feels an uneasy twinge in his chest. He suppresses it and instead moves to come closer, giving a performative glance over the paperwork. As expected, absolutely none of it makes any sense to him. ]
