[ Yuri's laughter is infectious and Balthus gladly laughs along. It has been way too long since the two of them had anything to cheer about. Which isn't to say that Balthus hasn't laughed - it's hard for him not to, being jovial is just too fundamental to his personality - but he hasn't meant it this sincerely in months.
Yuri looks dazzling smiling like this and it makes Balthus think that the war has really taken a toll on his friend more than anybody - if he's this blindingly beautiful in comparison to before, the old look must have gotten pretty bad over time.
